Tune details

Bootmod3 + Paul Johnson Tunes

This is a car-specific bootmod3 tune, refined through street pulls and on-track datalogs.

PJT developed the tune with the car’s catless exhaust and custom intake in place. For the stock-turbo setup, PJT recommends NGK 97506 spark plugs gapped to 0.021 inch.

Cooling

Also included
PJT off-the-shelf rolling anti-lag

Sport modes

Sport has a smoother, less sensitive pedal map. Sport+ keeps a more aggressive response. Otherwise, PJT says there is little difference between them; both use the same power calibration.

Maximum cooling is enabled in every engine mode. The M1 and M2 buttons only recall the selected engine, suspension, and steering settings—they do not select a different tune.

Buyer handoff

PJT confirmed on October 30, 2026 that the tune can stay with the car. Buyer and seller will need to contact ProTuning Freaks support to transfer the bootmod3 license; the PJT tune will follow it.

No Surprises

Condition

This was my daily driver and track car for a number of years. Keeping the exterior pristine was never realistic, so I put the money into modifications and maintenance instead. The exterior bears that out: there are chips, dings, scratches, wheel finish issues, carbon delamination, and a dashboard blemish.

Rear spoiler

It looks bad, but a replacement is about $200 and should take roughly 30 minutes to install. I left it alone because I was considering replacing it with a wing instead.

M Power engine-bay cover

The larger-than-stock Vargas intake pipes improve airflow but keep the cover from sitting flush. The cover could be trimmed slightly to fit again. I chose to leave it off for better track day cooling.

Potential future work

What it needs next

Zakspeed noted these as possible future work during visits in 2024. None were important or critical; if they had been, I would have taken care of them.

  • Coolant reservoirWhite crust is visible on the reservoir.
  • Differential bushingsStarting to crack; a dual-ear upgrade was recommended.
  • Front deflectorsThe rubber flaps are torn.
  • Rear bump shocksShowing wear.
  • Sway barListed without further detail.

Current maintenance: The car is due for an oil and filter change.
